Creative Resource Manager

Firewood Marketing is looking for a stellar Creative Resource Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief Creative Officer, you will work with and support Creative Leads, Art Directors, Copywriters, and Production Designers across a multitude of projects, disciplines, clients and groups. The focus of the role is to ensure the team is informed and prepared for their projects. Requirements  are solid organization, planning skills and attention to detail and, of course, a great personality. In addition to managing the team and resources, you will take an active role in helping the management team establish individual and team goals, raise and implement training programs, and work with senior management to craft a rewarding career path for the team. Our ultimate goal is for you to help us create an environment that’s efficient, exciting and fun for our creative team and everyone who works with them.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage creative team allocations,  align resources, availability and skillsets to the right projects
  • Align with project leads and managers across multiple teams on scopes and schedules to ensure smooth kick-offs and clearly-defined processes
  • Manage weekly overview and daily check-ins with team leads to ensure projects are running smoothly and the creative team is working optimally and are well-supported
  • Forecast resourcing needs based on upcoming projects and ensure team member and time requirements are equivalently matched
  • Identify issues and pain points in existing processes and suggest and implement improvements in process, onboarding, and overall tracking of creative resources where appropriate
  • Identify, plan and implement education and training opportunities
  • Support and influence the hiring process though HR
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and vet new business opportunities

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an agency traffic management
  • A proven track record of people management in a rapidly growing creative environment
  • A process oriented and open-minded attitude, with the ability to design optimal workflow
  • A good understanding of B2B and/or B2C communications
  • An ability to see the big picture and create internal processes that best support our business
  • A commitment to excellence,  with a keen eye for detail
  • An extra organizational gene in your DNA
  • A great communication style with a positive approach—you are the calm in the storm
  • A knack for problem solving and a superior ability to manage a growing number of projects
