We are currently searching for an Associate Event Manager to work with us within a large team serving one of our major clients on the Peninsula.
This person will be responsible for the planning and execution of multiple events; plus be an active part of the events team helping to further increase our successful delivery and client’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Primary event management, delivering end-to-end oversight for successful event execution.
- Detailed coordination of event logistics; including venue coordination, catering services, A/V, etc.
- Delivery oversight of event-related assets with creative team, client approvals, and vendors
- Management of event schedule, including on-time delivery of high-volume of deliverables
- Relationship management with client contacts
- Support collection of appropriate event-related data to assist in post-event evaluations and reporting
- Expense/Cost tracking to ensure delivery within budget
- Active participation with wider team to share knowledge, experience and with team-wide initiatives as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Strong capabilities in the area of project management, ideally with 2-5 years of experience managing events.
- Self-motivated team player who has a proclivity for action
- Highly-responsive, attentive, and quick to react to new and urgent requests
- Keen ability to keep track of and manage minutiae in a dynamic environment
- People-person who can quickly form and maintain friendly relationships
- Able to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Possess a positive, “can-do” attitude
- Exhibit a strong ability to re-prioritize tasks on-the-fly to meet unexpected changes in deadlines and deliver on last-minute requests
- Technically proficient, particularly with Google products such as Sheets and Slides
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Editorial/copywriting and/or basic graphic design skills a plus
- Domestic travel required; occasional international travel possible
- Bachelor’s degree required
