Firewood is looking for a Retail Product Marketing Manager for a temporary assignment from mid June through mid November—final dates TBD—to work on the global launch of one of our client’s most exciting products. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing manager with experience leading multi-national e-commerce campaigns, including strategy, execution, communications, budget and schedule management. Work will be on site at our client’s offices in the Peninsula, on a full time schedule for the duration of the assignment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing retail launch support to client around a client product. Launch includes global strategy, execution, budgets, and senior executive level communication.
- Recommend overall marketing plans for products across retail and carrier channels, both online and offline. Align with cross-functional and regional teams on plans, understanding of product roadmaps, business and sales goals, and prioritization.
- Serve as point of contact for the purpose of communicating plans, results, and assuring partners are aligned. Represent all aspects of retail marketing to internal stakeholders and OEM and retailer partners.
- Help manage global budgets for a set portfolio of products. Plan and track spends across retail marketing activities, and report on spend ROI.
- Ensure all retail marketing teams are driving towards the same goals, on-time, and on-budget. Support the development of these plans, timelines, and monitor implementation status.
- Shepard the global view of retail activities, regularly working with regional marketing teams to have visibility into key activities, budgets, etc.
- Project management of large and complex initiatives
- Active participation in executive meetings and written communications
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing roles – retail marketing/product launch experience is preferred but not necessary
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with proven track record of driving tactical executions
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and with limited direction about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, from concept to completion
- Outstanding creative and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Highly organized and strong communications skills.
