Elance-oDesk, a leading online marketplace that connects businesses with freelancers, was re-branding and preparing to launch a new website and brand, Upwork. They were tapped for resources, and needed design support specifically to create a new online resource center/microsite--the Hiring Hub--with focused, educational content for entrepreneurs, executives and freelancers. Working as an extension of the internal interactive design team and under an accelerated launch schedule, Firewood took responsibility for all UX design and management of the offshore development team, successfully launching the microsite on-time and on-budget.
